It provides backplane communication for the 3500 frames to communicate with each other and provides the required power to each module.The 3500 frame is available in two sizes:1 Full-size frame – 19" EIA frame with 14 module slots available2 Mini frame – 12-inch frame with 7 module slots availableThe 3500 frame is available in three order forms:1 Panel Mounting – Mount the 3500 frame in a rectangular opening in the panel and fasten it with the clamps provided with the frame. Wiring and accessing I/O modules from the back of the frame.2 Frame Mounting – Mount the 3500 frame in a 19" EIA rail. Wiring and accessing I/O modules from the back of the frame.3 Wall Plate Mounting – Mounts the 3500 frame on a wall or in a panel that cannot be attached from the back. Wiring and accessing I/O modules from the front of the frame. The 3500/05 Mini frame does not have this option.The power supply and frame interface modules must be installed in the two leftmost slots.
